A.S.K.'s direct-outreach approach to solving animal neglect and cruelty conditions allows us to see the poor quality
of many dogs' lives throughout Calhoun County, Michigan. The same conditions likely occur in your community.
Instead of asking "why", we ask that you ACT to make a difference in the lives of these animals who didn't choose
to be born into bad situations.

These pictures represent what we see on a weekly basis; note that most instances reflect local animal ordinance
violations.
Battle Creek law states that dogs cannot be chained for more than 3 total hours a day to prevent
animal neglect.
This is the FIRST law in Michigan to address dog chaining.
The Plight of Calhoun County Chained Dogs
ALL SPECIES KINSHIP: DIRECT-OUTREACH ANIMAL PROTECTION
This dog was abandoned, left to fend for itself among trash.
This dog was starving when A.S.K. volunteers found him.
Battle Creek Animal Control refused to remove this
dog albeit the fact that it was starving and severely
neglected.
Dogs are suffering, hidden in backyards because laws
are not being enforced. The animals pay the price.
Please report animal cruelty.

excuses or ignorance. Use your voice because the animals don't have one.
